Music Sloppy Joes: Albums that have nourished me in 2010….

13 Dec

As we’re only a couple of weeks now until the end of the year, the inevitable end of year lists are likely to start cropping up all over the countryside like super GM-infused Triffids, ganging up to strangle us in our sleep and use our bodily fluids for sustenance….

So i may (or may not) get called up in the next week to give one of those “top 5/10 albums of the year”  with which i will use as some form of cultural yardstick to nail my perceived coolness upon. But these things often turn into something akin to catching the wind with mittens (i.e. rather difficult). That was until i chanced upon Simon Reynold’s testimonial to the albums that he’s rocked to over the last 6 months, and as i have absolutely no original ideas of my own, I’ve decided to use this to map some of the albums that have been altering my serotonin levels to dangerous limits in 2010….. BUT IN FOOD FORM!

EDIT – These are all Non – Icelandic albums. That list will come along later….

The only one of these bands I’ve even heard of is Zola Jesus. I like that song “I Can’t Stand,” though.
