Krútting it to the Max: Some Icelandic Albums from 2010,,,,,

15 Dec

Ok so a few blog posts ago, i posted some of the foreign based albums from 2010 that were helping to nourish my spiritual core. But obviously i didn’t include icelandic albums, cos of course that  genre gets a whole blog post all to itself!

Now i will say that i haven’t listened to EVERY single new icelandic release (i value my ears and my sanity waaaaay too much!) and this shouldn’t be the definitive list, but i like to think that I’ve managed to catch a fair broad spectrum of what’s been vomited out from the belly of the beast that is known as “The Icelandic Music Scene” in 2010. Oh and there has been a fair amount of guff. When i can be arsed, I’ll type up a proper review sometime near the new year….

I know that they’re probably about as far from your head space as is possible (in this galaxy at least) but Pascal Pinon have to win some kind of award for the best self-produced album by 14 year old girls- Icelandic or otherwise.
