Music Moment: Chasing Voices, “Acidbathory”

10 Feb

Just about ready to watch BBC’s Question Time now that i have my proxy server working again. It may just be me, but this programme seems to have morphed into a weird form of middle class bear-baiting and barely contained vocal diarrhea, in which they added to the mix at least one person who could be considered as borderline fascist/crazy/conservative. It compulsive viewing in the Jeremy Kyle Mould.

And to get me in the mood, we need to need something that helps to bring out the true despondent feelings that arise when we see base human behaviour. “Acidbathory” is the latest release from enigmatic and mysterious New York character CHASING VOICES. It has a deep throbbing bass that swirls around you like a flock of vultures licking their lips at the latest sky burial. Add to that a simple THUMP THUMP THUMP  mantra and some truly terrifying grinding sounds, and it’s what i would expect if Tibetan buddhist monks discovered dubstep. Heavy!
