Reykjavik Grapevine: Album Review: Plastic Gods, “Plastic Gods”

12 Sep

Where I plead the case for the metal gods to come and help these guys out to take their music to the next level.

Ignore the marking on the review as due to an uploading error, it’s actually meant to be a +/- instead of a +. The album itself is good, but you can hear the limitations in their recording techniques on the record. The album was also made from many earlier songs, which meant that there is that stoner doom riffage you tend to hear from a lot of other bands from the same genre. But the guys are ambitious and they’re pushing themselves hard, spreading their wings with regard tot heir songwriting and their sound. I hope they make it big and true on their next album.
